It's going to be bad for the markets. However, we don't do schadenfreude here at ChoiceOdds.com. This is partly because you have to aim higher in life. You have to see the best in others and look to bring out the best in yourself. Also, we're not quite sure what the word means.

So, it is without hesitation that we remind you of a short poem that CEO's, bank governors and tea ladies everywhere might want to tape to their computer screens for the next 18-24 months (our tea lady even has a Blackberry, but she might lose that if we have to cut back on anything).

Recession? What recession? The FTSE has gained an average 19.7 points a day in May, compared to 17.5 in April and a daily average FALL of 9.6 points in March.

The DAX is being as gung-ho this month as it was last, gaining an average 18.9 points a day compared to April's 18.8 daily average.

But things aren't as rosy over the pond. The Dow is showing a limp 13.9 point daily gain in May, after thrusting gains of 25.3 a day last month.
