The FTSE has dropped over 250 points so far in June. It only lost 33.8 throughout the whole of May.

The DAX looks even more nervous, having shed 331.4 points this month. Coincidentally, the Dow has lost 331.0 so far in June.

What's more the DAX has lost over 1300 points in 2008; the FTSE has lost just half this amount.

Although most recently popularised by Edward Lear, the oldest recorded poem following the metrical pattern of a limerick was written by Thomes Aquinas.
