Void
A bet is said to be void if the ChoiceOdds trader cancels the bet. In this instance the
client receives their original stake back and the bet is declared null and void.
Bets are declared void because of a manifest error. A manifest error is any error that we
reasonably believe to be obvious or palpable. In the case of a manifest error, we reserve the
right to void or resettle the bet at the correct price.
- If the market is suspended we reserve the right to void any open bets
- In the event that the market closes early all open bets will be classed as void.
- If we are unable to obtain a settlement price for any reason the bet will be
classed as void.
- If we receive incorrect data or there is inconsistent provision of data from our
third party data providers, we reserve the right to void or resettle the bet at the
correct price. This applies whether the error was caused due to human error or
technical problems. This applies to any errors in the terms or market conditions, and
our pricing and settlement of a market.
- If we accept a bet in error (for example, betting has been suspended, a bet has
been inadvertently accepted but the client does not have sufficient funds in their
account, or an event has already taken place) the bet will be classed as void.
